l’ve been waiting for months for this pattern to be released. The #boxyjacket is everything I could dream of. The oversized fit and the big pockets are so comfy.
The instructions were very easy, so I made the whole jacket in one day. The fabric I used was a vintage wool blanket from my grandma and for the placket etc. scraps from a thrifted a dyed bedsheet.

Thank you for all the work you did to make this pattern. It was easy to follow and required minimal adjustment. It has been one of my favorite quilt coats I’ve tried thus far!

I love the youthful look of this quilted jacket. The fuzzy collar and short fit creates a fresh style to the typical quilt coat. I made the full length jacket like the one above, which is plenty cropped for me. I easily printed this pattern on 8×10 paper and taped it together without any difficulty. The instructions are easy to follow and the cut has limited fabric waste. I love how this pattern leaves room for creative choices. I can’t wait to make another jacket.

I have made two boxy jackets so far, one with a thrifted fuzzy blanket and one with a quilt. They have both turned out SO CUTE! The pattern is refreshingly simple while still being descriptive enough for an adventurous beginner. I was waiting for this pattern’s release and was not disappointed!

I just started sewing this year, so I’m definitely still a beginner. I found this pattern easy to follow and really appreciated having the video to refer to for each step. I used a vintage comforter and other fabric/materials that I thrifted. I was able to push out two coats (one for me and one for a friend) during a weekend as a mom of two — so I’d say it was a big success!

I loved this pattern and instructions! The video was super helpful to an “adventurous beginner” like me. This was maybe the fourth thing I’ve ever sewn and using a tie blanket kit that was just sitting around I made a very cool jacket that I’ve already gotten compliments on! If I can do it, so can you!

Obsessed with this jacket and pattern. It’s so easy to make, really clear instructions, and Joy was super helpful when I sent her a little query on instagram. I’ve just finished making one and now already starting on the next! Highly recommend x

I’m very much a beginner sewer with zero clue but a big dose of confidence in my non existent skills – this pattern is just perfect – the instructions and video were so clear I feel like a Sewing Bee winner! I’m now mid way through my second jacket and already planning a third! Joy is also so helpful and encouraging! Love love love!
